The space
The main unit of Governor Jesse McDonald's 1893 mansion pairs Victorian character with space for eight. Bedroom 1 has a king bed, en-suite bath with jetted tub, electric fireplace, and Smart TV; bedrooms 2 and 3 each have a queen bed, fireplace, and TV; bedroom 4 is a lockoff suite with bunk beds, its own kitchenette, sitting room, and full bath. The red-walled billiard room holds a full-size pool table and a 20+ board game library, and there are two stocked kitchens, two living rooms, a private office, and an infrared sauna. 3.5 bathrooms in total.
Worth knowing: this is an 1893 building with vintage wear, some dim lighting, and quirky switch placement, and one wall is shared with a separately booked unit — white noise machines are provided. No air conditioning; Leadville rarely needs it at 10,152 ft.
